Carrie Grula Glass
The basis of my work started with an interest in the seventies. I was drawn to the colors, patterns, and furniture from this era. As my worked progressed, my focus shifted to an interest in wall paper and fabric designs from this and other eras. The designs that grabbed my attention the most were the interlocking geometric and floral patterns. I try to reproduce these patterns or develop my own out of the research that I've done and then apply them to my glass. Even though the seventies isn't my primary focus anymore, I believe that it still influences my choices in color and the patterns that I use.
